The Story of Strong Feelings, EEPWORM and Me
Around the same time, I had rubber band ball toy collection that I found to be quite comforting. However, I did not like the name of the toy. So, I renamed it “eep.” As my collection grew, I found more interesting shapes of similar toys that needed new names. However, I wanted to be methodical with my naming process so that every toy would have an “eep” in it. When I found the worm-shaped puffer toy, I knew exactly what it was supposed to be called: “eepworm.”

When I became an adult, I kept my collection of eeps, eepworms, eep-dinosours, eep-lizards, cheep-eeps, and more. When I began working with Early Childhood Specialties, I saw firsthand that many children today are also struggling with strong emotions. I felt that I could help children with these feelings, so I decided to start my own book and toy line. If I can grow up to be successful by using these tools, then so can many other children!
